I am using WinMe. Audio cd's won't autorun. They play when clicking in explorer but not on insertion. All checks are ok.

right click my comp.>>properties>>filesystem>>cdrom tab, put a check mark in the box next to auto run.

if u already have the box checked, remove the check mark , click apply ,restart. again put the check mark back repeating above method.

I have a similar problem with a catch - there is no auto run box anywhere to be found. The cd-rom tab has entries for drive speed (Quad or faster is the top choice) and supplemental cache size, What happened to auto-run?

Go to "System Properties/Device Manager". Highlight your CDRom then select "Properties/Settings". You can enable "Autorun" here.

Still no Autorun. There is an "Auto Insert Notification". With it checked, it appears that Explorer is what gets the notification for CDA files. I have tried changing the program used to open CDA files in folder options - that doesn't work either.
