Can't open attatchments with xls extensions, I do not have Excel. Can I do anything about it or do I need to buy software to open these attatchments. When I use MS Word for Windows to open them all the text is scattered and difficult to read.

I would venture a guess that if you had an even moderately recent version of a Corel or Lotus Suite they would both have programs that would convert the files. In the absence of that, you should be able to use Wordpad, but the cells would "de-parse" or "un-parse" or whatever that's called!
