Assigning IRQ's in WinMe

I am running an audio editor that is demanding the soundcard have its own IRQ-- BUT I have tried to access an IRQ assignment page in the BIOS but there doesn't seem to be any such option. In Me's Device manager I have found the 'reserve IRQ' menu; I'd like to assign the printer's IRQ to the soundcard because the printer has that one to itself... How do I do this? Thanks!

Summary: I know that WinXP assigns IRQ dynamicly but, but WinME does not. So does the bios assume that work for WinME and If so can a (AUTO)IRQ assign setting in the bios actually assign the wrong IRQ's or not...
