2 hard disks, the second with 2 partitions
are currently assigned drive letters C: to E:
in Windows Me, my CD is automatically assigned drive letter F: but not in Windows 98. At boot time, get the message "not enough drive letters" when initialising the CD driver. How do I overcome this to get my CD finally running?

Try TweakUi , tick all the boxes in the My Computor section of
TweakUi . You will gain an extra benefit also , in that you will
now have extra features , when you right click on Start . John .

Download Tweakui complete with install instructions from ,

Another way through the registry .
Start / Run , type in regedit , press OK or Enter , press F3 , tick
1st 3 boxes , type in LastDrive , press Enter . Make lastdrive=Z
