My guess is, if it keeps going into my start folder its a virus, no program acts like that (that i know of) So treat it with most care and get a anti-virus program (or update yours) and see what it is through the eyes of that. In short, I would consider it a virus. I jsut searched my ME system and it showed no such file =)
Are you using officeXP? I found a link on google to this thread which is a response to a posters question about dvd playback read the 1st. reply.

The MON part of the filename should tell you it is a monitoring program. It waits for you to insert a CD or DVD before activating your player software.
The CT part tells me it is probably part of a Creative Labs package. Am I right?
