Another OS on same Computer

Hi all
I have 3 hard drives in my computer i use two for storage and the other of course for the OS.i want to use one of them to add another OS like XP. I have read a lot of post here about the subject and i think i understand it. i know i will need a Boot Manager. just how would i start.the hard drive i want to use is clean it is my D drive
can i just put in the xp CD and maybe some way change it from C: to D: for the dictionary i want to install Xp to. would like some of your advice on this Thanks such TOMD

I just wrote basically the same thing above...

Install the older OS 1st (Win98, 98SE, or ME)...once it's up & running, pop in the WinXP CD. When the screen pops up, select "advanced", not "upgrade", & make sure the installation begins on the 2nd HDD. XP will take it from there...it has it's own boot manager

Hi, Thanks for your responce. One more question I already have ME on C:
do i need to install Me Or 98 on the d: drive also or can i just install XP i relly am not clear on that. Thanks so much advice i will try this .TOMD

if you already have WinME installed & have have a D: partition or 2nd HDD ready to go, just pop in the WinXP CD & follow the instructions

just to clarify the above...1st boot into WinME, THEN pop in the WinXP CD
