Comment: Hello. A friend of mine has AOL Instant Messenger. The messenger offers a feature that allows the user to create a "profile". However, he has clicked on a link to a website through someone else's profile, and now that link is basically "stuck" on his profile. After attempting to erase the actual link, the file in 'Windows/Application Data/Aim/info.txt, and reinstalling the program the link is still there. After erasing the file which contains the actual profile, the file "reappears" for some reason. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Is this a matter of deleting something from the registry? Thanks

Reply: (edit)That link doesn't work anymore so you have to do this.. Go to Find files or folders in your start menu.. and look for b.exe and delete it from your drive. Then go to RUN in the start menu and type in msconfig and click ok.. when there, go to the startup menu and unclick the b.exe option.. and then it'll say to restart your computer..so do that. after that if you still have that link in your profile just delete it and it'll go away.. and you can add your own profile.
