Comment:

I installed InCD from an OEM Nero disc.
An icon appeared in the system tray but no entry in the Start menu. The prog wouldn't open by clicking on the icon - the only way I could get it to open was by creating a shortcut from the "InCD.exe" icon in the program file directory.
Is this normal ?
(It's InCD vers 2.24)

I might be wrong, but I think InCD is set to operate automatically whenever a formatted cdrw is inserted, so no program icons are needed. You just right click on a file you want to burn and select "send to ...". I believe if you right click on the icon in the sys tray you get options. At least that's how Roxio's Direct CD works, which is the same kind of program.

Thanks for the replies.
Had Direct CD before this - and got used to it's ways.
If you don't have an InCD formatted CDRW how are you supposed to trigger it for the first time ?
Chicken and egg ........!

Have you tried inserting a blank cdrw, then opening My Computer and right clicking on the drive to see if a format option is there?

I have just started using InCD the past week since buying my first CD-RW Discs.

Mine to is an OEM, but I have updated it FREE from www.nero.com to version 3.23.0.

It loads automatically and sits in the tray on the bottom right. It only operates once a CDR-RW Disc is installed. If it is a blank unformatted disc it will pop up asking if you want to open and format with INCD or open Nero.

If you insert a formatted disc it mounts it so it operates like a 500+MB Floppy.

If you want to activate it manually, right click the icon in the tray and you get:

Properties.
Format.
Version Information.
