I bought a Agfa 1280 digital camera on clearence sale and thought I made a bargain
First it came with no software for win ME
not even on agfa website, i installed the packeged software anyway and all kinda problems started, had to uninstall it.
Downloaded a free software from net called Photo wizard (memory hog) not much luck, some time it works some time it does not load picture.
Can anyone help with Win ME compatible sofware, I really need the camera tomorrow. Thanks advance for all suggestions

You are probably out of luck. ME is very bad with older scanners and cameras and other peripherals. I had to replace a perfectly good UMAX scanner because UMAX wasn't going to update drivers and ME didn't support the scanner very well.
Chalk it up to experience and go get a new camera.

new in pc, dont chalk up your camera! you have some other options.
Eric, a digital camera is a very expensive toy to simply chalk it up to experience becaues of some impotent operating system. I would not chalk up my $500 digital camera.
New in pc your other options are folloing
frist try USB external card reader (and pray that windwos ME will recognize it)
second try floppy disk addapter
third (preffered) get rid of windows ME and reinstall 98. If the store will not take back the open ME box "chalk" that one to experience

Miro thanks for the advice,
I have already had my camera connected to USB port and it sure works but only when it is in mood.
I went in Scanner and Digital camera through Control Panel and added my camera and as said earlier it only works when it wants to.
What is a floppy disk addapter and how does it work?
Thanks again for suggestions.

i am not sure if you can get floppy disc adapter for your camera... i think agfa uses smart media cards, floppy disc adapter is for sony memory stick.... probably not an option for you... other option if you have PCMCIA slot to get PCMCIA addapter for smart media card.. i am using PCMCIA addapter sometimes for my compact flash memory cards for my digital camera.
Regards Miro

there is smart media card floppy disc addapter, at Staples $80... just it does not list compatibility with windows ME on the box... make sure you can return it for refund if does not work... probably less headaches to go back to windows 98
Regards Miro
