ADVAPI32.DLL keeps crashing program

a lot of times when I run certain programs like MSN Messenger, Internet Explorer Setup Wizard, AIM and other programs I get a error saying "*program name* has caused a error in ADVAPI32.DLL"

Thanks, replacing that file with a new one seemed to have fixed many problems and now I can use MSN Messenger again. Also my computer seems to be running faster.
