My advanced tab in internet options has disappeared, I have no idea how long this has been missing.I tried a repair but it didn't work and it was only 3 days ago that I disabled system restore to get rid of files so this probably isn't an option for me to try
Any suggestions anyone?
TIAKim xx
ps Forgive me if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find anything

Kim,
Open registry editor, and go here;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Is there a key, under Internet Explorer, named AdvancedOptions?
Have you installed any utilities, to modify(tweak) the registry?
What version of IE, are you using?
Have you tried to restore a previous registry?
That'll do for now:-)
I’ll Try

Thanks for your reply
Is there a key, under Internet Explorer, named AdvancedOptions? YES, sub sections to this are:
accessibilty
browse
crypto
http
java
multimedia
searching
on the advanced entry itself the info reads default - value not setHave you installed any utilities, to modify(tweak) the registry? NO
What version of IE, are you using? Version 6
Have you tried to restore a previous registry? NO
Kim xx

To reset this in the registry for the current user:
In Registry key HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel, add or change the value named AdvancedTab, changing its current data of (none) to 1 if checked, 0 if not.
This should return your advanced tab.
