I'm thinking about getting an ADSL connection, but I have one question - does the connection allow me to use the fast connection on two different computers. I have two computers, and i would like them both to be connected - would this require networking or nor??
Many Thanks
Nick T

It does require a network of some type. This can be as simple as multiple NIC cards or as complex as a router/switch set up but it does require somthing to link them. Don't let that scare you off tho, it's easy to set up and not too expensive.

your best bet is to buy a router switch for $70 , this will allow you to connect up to 4 computers on the router and still just use one address as the router will NAT for the local addresses , this is also a built in firewall .

If I use a router, what do I do with it - do I connected it hone line and then connect the router to the computers? Do I need to network if this is my choice? What soet of wiring does it require??
Thanks in advance

Here are two excellent sites for Home Networking that may help answer your questions:
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/
They are good places to start if you are new to this. Have a look.

I have ADSL and two computers using the same connection. Here is a URL for the router I use:
http://www.dlink.com/products/broadband/di704/
Everything that you need is included except for the Ethernet Cards.
This router has a built in firewall as well.
