Comment:

I recently deleted Adobe Acrobat from my computer when I downloaded the Adobe Reader 6.0. I tried to restore Acrobat using the System Restore function, but a message says that it has been turned off. Any suggestions on how to restore my original Adobe Acrobat? Thanks.

*Be aware that old versions of Acrobat Reader (I assume that's what you want?) may have security vulnerabilities.*

Uninstall the version you have now, reboot and install the version you had before?

Acrobat Reader - OldVersion.com

I much prefer Foxit Reader (I like light, quick apps):

Small, Fast, Clean, and FREE PDF Reader for Everyday Use

I always get the zipped version (no installation required) when a new version is released.

adobe sometimes is on the setup cd that comes with devices such as modems or graphics cards. Explore some of your cds you might find it. I don't know about others but I have had problems with 6.0 locking up on my 98 & Me systems, and I now use 5.1.
