Create a shortcut of the file or folder you want to put in the start menu then cut and paste it in the start menu folder inside windows folder. Or click start, settings, taskbar and start menu, select advanced and the start menu folder will open.

Open up two sessions of Windows Explorer. On the first one point to Program files|Startup|Start Menu|Programs. On the second one, locate the executables you want in the Start Menu. Right-click/hold and drag to the Programs folder. Click create shortcut here. Then organize however you wish. You can also create folders in that Programs menu to better organize. You may want to rename the shortcuts because they will default to say "short cut to ... " I keep mine short (just a suggestion) I have all of my games in a Games folder, My tweak programs in a Tweakz folder, etc.
Hope this Helps,
~me~

Program files|Startup|Start Menu|Programs ( a shortcut to open) Right click "Programs" in "Start" menu. Click "open"
You also can hold the right mouse key and drag the shortcut into the upper "Start" menu or into "Programs" or any of the folders. When the _______ is at where you want it. Release the mouse key and click "Move here".
You also can change the icon if you wish. Right click it. Choose "Properties" [Change Icon..] and follow through.
Good Luck

Create a folder/name it shortcuts.
Place shortcuts to every application you use in it. Stick this folder in the start menu above programs.Scenario:):)
You click start then The shortcuts folder...You see only the shortcuts you need to access on a regular basis.

Hmm, scenario. Well how about this one.
Make a new folder (name it what ever you want) on C:\
Then put shortcuts to all of your most used things in it.
Then right click your taskbar. Toolbars>>(click) New Toolbar. In the pop up that shows click the folder that you made. Then [OK]
Then go to your taskbar where your new toolbar is, hold the pointer over the | untill you have a left and right arrow. Hold the right mouse key down and drag it where you want it. (like top of the screen) Then let go of the mouse key. Right click your new toolbar and set it up the way you want it. (auto hide, always on top, text, ect.) What you just did is make another Quick Launch toolbar. I'm ranting but calmly :) so I'll stop now ;-)
I'll Try
