i got a compaq presario 2240 it got win95 and maximum memory 48mb slot 1 non removabie base memory 16m32mb and i put a 128mb in it and it show error run windows setup can you remove a maximum memory 48mb on this system if you can how do you do it i need a 128mb in the system

You cannot do what you want, you can only add 32MB. You will need a new motherboard. The Compaq that you have would be difficult to modify and upgrade. It would be much better to build a new computer, or buy a new one.

the Presario 2240 can only handle 48MB. then 16MB base and 1 stick of 32MB 66MHz SDRAM. There is no way to add more.
