The new free AD-Aware 6.0 Standard version is out. Downloaded it last night from MajorGeeks. Today, the download links at LavaSoft are working and will transfer you to the actual download sites.

The built in reference files Update works, and have downloaded the Feb. 5 update. The default setup does not scan inside archive files (ZIP, etc.) or scan IE Favorites URL's. So you might want to Customize it. It does slow down the scan when you do this. It also causes Ad-aware to find, but not FLAG for delete, the cookies saved in the SpyBot Search & Destroy restore archive files!

Hey guys, you might want to try out SpyBot if you haven't already, it's a bit ahead of AdAware(not to diss AdAware or anything, cuz Iused it to finally get rid of those stupid ads and cydoor software in KaZaA) Tons of sites are debating about spybot and adaware, and spybot always wins....i use both of them.(spybot finds something adaware missed, and vice versa)
