Hello,

First off, I have a Compaq Persario 5012US (running Windows ME)

Just a quick question... I have noticed that CD's I burn or create using my Adapted Easy CD Creator don't track on all CD players. I have an older Teac player and, for some reason, it doesn't recognize tracks 1,2,3,4 and 5 on every CD I burn. But, this same disk will play in my computers drive, my Playstation 1, and on a portable player.

I created this disk using audio stored at 44,100 Hz at 320 kpbs (standard)

What's the deal? Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hmmmm. I am using (Adaptec Easy CD Creator) but for some reason, when I sent this message, the word Adaptec was replaced with Adapted. Weird....

Oh well, no big deal...

I could be wrong , however I remember reading somewhere that older CD players may not be compatable with the newer burn in technology ? Hopefully someone else with more knowledge on this can give you a better answer to your ? Good Luck,Nick

Hi Christopher.

Your older CD player may be fussy about the brand of disk you use.

You can buy 1 each of various brands of disks, name brands as well as generic, and burn something on each.

Then test each one in your Teac drive.

If one of them plays, the Teac likes that brand and not the others.

Take care,

Linda

Thank you for the advice. I have been asking around quite a bit and have found that this is indeed a common problem. I guess I will either upgrade my player or look for some better disks.
