Thank you all for your help regarding hard drive reformatting I really appreciate your co-operation and help. Now second problem I have installed a trial version of a4 proxy, went to tools, internet options, connections, settings, then ticked box saying use proxy server then entered proxy no and port no after I done everything that the program asked of me and returned to do a bit of surfing the page kept crashing or a message kept saying cannot find server. Please would anyone out there know how to configure a4 proxy to work successfully with windows me and still be able to surf the net anonymously. Many thanks for all your help
