I have a quick question...

Everytime I visit a site and I like it, I click to add to my favorites and then I create a shortcut on my desktop. In the address bar I can see the icon for that particular site and then in the shortcut the icon displays too. BUT, sometimes it disappears from the desktop and I just get the "E" icon for explorer for that particular website shortcut. Then sometimes it reappears again.

Now my question...
Is there any way to keep those icons that represent that particular site?

I tried a few things on my desktop by right-clicking, but none of the options locks that in anyway. I searched all throughout control panel and nothing there for that type of thing.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this? It is annoying as can be.

Thanks to anyone that replies...
--Viv :)

Viv, Everytime you do something like delete your temp files, it clears some of those icons. To get them back, you have to add them to favorites again, then delete one of the favorites entries on your favorites list. Tim

Hi Tim!

OK, at one point last night, I deleted everything in my favorites and went one by one to the favorites sites and re-entered them in fav's and created a new desktop icon for each. Some of them took the actual website's icon, some that I knew that had the particular icon never reappeared as such only as the "E". I empty my temp internet files every night and have done that for a long time, it never did that before. I have Avant Browser, could that be disabling the icon appearance(s)? But, on the other hand, I've had Avant Browser for a few months and this problem just started happening over the last 2 weeks or so.
