I've got and Athlon 650, on an Asus K7V motherboard, and recieve a Windows Protection Error everytime I start Windows Me.
I either get: 'while initialising device NTKERN' or: 'while initialising device IOS'

Hey, I have an Athlon 900Mhz on an Asus A7V and 3 days after I built the system, I rebooted after I thought I had no glitches, and I got a windows protection error on the blue screen. Is this a coincidence with an AMD Athlon and an ASUS a7v or what? Although I did get the same windows protection error on my AMD K6-2 500MHz with an Asus P5A motherboard. Get back to me.... Windows knowledge base sort of gears towards antivirus software....if thats the case then, it is my Nortons Systemworks package....cause I had it on both computers..
