I have windows ME, and I can not figure out how to get anything more than 640x480 pixels and 16 colors. I know next to nothing when it comes to fixing computers. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

You think you have Windows ME and your manufacturer is Windows? Well, I can guarantee that Windows didn't manufacture your PC. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and then click properties. That will indicate your OS. Then, look at the front of your computer and report back what it shows (Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, E-Machine, etc). Some help can then be provided as to what video card is (most probably) installed on the machine.

when you do as Jennifer instructed you will see 3 "items" system, registered to and computer. What does it say under system? Also did this computer ever have more that 16 colors and if so when did this problem begin?

Then select your model number and download the video/graphic files for your OS. Me, 95, whatever is above the "GenuineIntel Intel(r) family 6 model 7 processor 64.0MB RAM"
