Anyone have any experience with the news 128 MB graphics cards, especially the ATI Radeon?

They aren't really worth it, unless you plan on keeping them a long time. 64MB is just fine for current games; 128 isn't going to make that much of a difference. At least not $100 worth of one. By the time games need that much memory for textures and stuff the card would be too slow anyway. Save some money and get a 64mb version. I currently have a Radeon 32mb DDR, and it is definately the best card I have ever owned. They are a bit slow about driver updates, but they're improving. Even with only 32mb it still plays Medal of Honor at 1024x768x32 with all the details turned up.

I agree for the moment. Am considering the PNY or another Radeon, as I run engineering applications. I have a 64 MB now, Radeon and it's a very nice card, running Quake 3 maxed out with no problems.

I installed an ATI RADEON 32MB PCI (no AGP slot) It was one of the single most item that showed improvement to the performance of my system, the other being adding 128MB RAM , for a total of 256MB ! I play graphic intense games with no problems . I was so sastified I purchased the ATI T.V. WONDER USB Edition.LOL ,Nick

Zed ,Anyone who replies to the frist post , it will say 128 MB Graphics Card under subject. Yes my card was only a 32MB . And I see your point , since the ? was about a 128 not 32 MB card. hehe nickritchie, hope u think im not trying to be a smarta**!! im interested in finding out more about video cards .... because im quite into gaming and stuff like that. your input is much appreciated, i think its not that easy to find user opinions on graphics card (i have not tried cnet.com though) cheers everyone
