I receive this error message when I run certain 16 bit graphics applications. I think it may relate to quicken, but updating did not fix the problem.
I am running ME on a Compaq Presario with an AMD Duron 900 Mhz processor. The video card shows to be a S3 Graphics ProSavage.

first things, try www.compaq.com/support/files/allsp.html... look for winME s3 drivers, dl, check to be sure your model is listed in the readme, install... second, go to www.compaq.com/athome/support, and ask the tech to email you their startup list, and a brief rundown on how to check you device duplication in device manager... an ex compaq tech...
