Hi Martin, hello everyone,

Depends on the options you choose to install.

200-300MB

Hi Marin, hello everyone,

Just noticed the computer has 768MB of RAM installed. This may cause problems in Win98.

Check out this link for a work around.

Best Regards,
Mesich

Hi Martin, hello everyone,

Yes.

I am running Win98 on a 3GB hard drive right now. I have used 1.22GB of space. This includes Office 2000, MS Works, AVG, JASC Paintshop Pro, and many others.

Best Regards,
Mesich

Win98SE on a clean install takes 189mbs. That is installing the standard dial up connections, no screen savers, no games or extra accessories. Then I go into windows and delete all the extra background textures they give you. I also delete all those HP images in Windows. They are just extra, unessesary images.
I ran Win98SE on my 486DX/64mbs ram/1G hard drive. I ran it that way for over a year till I was scandisking one night and it just died and I lost all my data. I didn't have a cdrw then to back stuff up.

Hi Martin, Play3r, hello everyone,

You'll be just fine with Win98 temporarily on the drive until you get the 160GB drive.

Best Regards,
Mesich
