My buddies laptop seems like it keeps constantly running this Wscript.exe from Microsoft non stop. Con/alt/del and theres none running and as the computer is on it gets slower and slower until you cant hardly do anything. Cntrl/alt/del again and theres like 20 of the wscripts listed. Now the computer wont even boot up. What do I do to get this running again. Thanks. CHEETAH.

Sounds like a virus to me. Most viruses use Windows Scripting Host. My advice to my friends is to remove WSH from Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup.

WHat can I do to boot to windows to run a virus program? It tells me theres a memory problem and then just shuts the computer off.

If it IS a virus your first and best option is to find someone with an Antivirus recovery floppy, run it and hope that it cleans the drive. Another option would be to run a windows install and hope that it isn't a virus. A third option could be to format and reinstall windows. That's all that I can come up with.

If you are using Win98 then hold down the ctrl key after hitting the Power button to bring you to the Start up menu.
If Win95 then hit the F8 key as soon as you see the "verifying DMI pool" message to get there.
Select Safe Mode and then try doing as stated in response number 1 above.
