Writing to a CD-R

I have done this before, but cannot remember how I did it.
Taking a CD-R disc over to another computer running Win 98 to obtain some files done in Photoshop. I have already copied/added similar files to the disc on that same exact computer so know it can be done. But it has been a while since I did it.
Did it without going into some CD-R copying mode also. We just added the few files onto the already formatted and partly used disc, much as you would do to a standard floppy disk.

I don't know about a cd-r, but I use winfile to drag and drop with a cd-rw..Open two windows in winfile, make one the source and the other the target...

Nero comes with `INCD' EZCD Creator comes with `DirectCD'
They are used to copy files directly to a CD using My Computer or Windows Explorer.

Summary: I am having a problem with my HP 9110i cd-rw, half way through writing to a cd-r it stops and comes up error "buffer under run" any idea what causes this and how do i solve it? thanks jay...
