Most Hard Drive manufactures provide software to do such.
Here is a link to Western Digal and there software.

Thank-you Mesich, I knew I saw that "write zeros to the drive somewhere before. It came with a new WD Drive I bought, which I cannot use yet as I have not managed to flash my bios...that is another forum.
