Hi, all. Great info here, so I'll get right to it:
When I boot one of my machines (Win95b, 4GB, 32MB) I get the above on a black screen after the first splash screen. My options are to Abort, Retry, or Fail. If I choose "f" then it continues to load normally.
I use Centurion Guard to protect the HDD, but if it (CG) is disabled, I get this message; if it's enabled, I'm told the same problem exists, but on drive D (a logical DOS drive created by CG).
All around I'm stumped. I've reimaged the HDD, swapped it out with another, and spoken at length with the great folks at Centurion.
Nothing seems to fix this problem that popped up several days installing a ZIP drive.
Any thoughts? Any thoughts at all? Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

Check your config.sys and autoexec.bat. Even if CG is disabled it could still be loading part of it from there.

Thanks for the info...digging around in the BIOS I found an option to disable writing to the hard drive. Once I deselected this, it started working just great!
Thanks again.
Cheers.
Lee
