Comment:

WordPad has a default font of Times Roman. Can I change the default so it will come up with Arial 12 pt. as the default?

Not directly I'm afraid.

What you do is make a template by opening a blank page and setting it to the font you want. Save this with some useful name (such as WPadTmpl} and make it read-only to remind you not to delete it.

Make a shortcut to this template instead of the normal WordPad shortcut. You then save all future WordPad documents with a new name, using Save As.
