Hi, I went into Photo Deluxe 2.0 and took out some EZ Photo docs to get it the hell out of my Microsoft Word, now whenever I try to open word, it says, "word cannot open this document template (C:\Program Files\...\EZPhoto\EZPHOTO.DOT)" but then, once i click on the warning, word opens as normal! help me get rid of that annoying ! tag

Are you sure that document is supposed to be a template? Try this, make a copy of the file and save that copy with a .doc extension. Then open that file up and see if it fixes the problem.
You could also try opening the problem file then do a save as and save it as a document instead of a template.

Make sure that the 'Style' list doesn't hold any reference to styles that was used in the EZPhoto. You can remove styles from the 'Format' menu.

Hi, thanks for helping. The problem is, when i simply open word it gives me the warning from the get go. Now everything says that, but then when i click it, it opens as normal after. I deleted some files in photoshop that were ezphoto related, and that must be causing the problem. also, now when i save a doc, it has a weird unhilited shadow odc of the same with it, but with weird letters and symbols. i looked under style, but couldn't figure out what to get rid of.

Remove things from ezphoto directory doesn't do you any good, I would think. The main problem is to get rid of references to the ezphoto in winword. Try to take a look into the winword's directory (Microsoft Office) and see if any files has names that you could guess as holding references to the ezphoto. Another thing that you could do is to open the 'template' document 'Normal.dot' and see if you can get rid of any refernce to the ezphotos's style from there.

!@#Well, maybe make a new .dot, just a blank, and call it the same name and place it in the same location as the one it is looking for.
$%^Or try going to office template folder and open a bunch of those and then close Word and then open Word again.
&*`I wonder if there is a setting somewhere in Word to tell it to look at the last document opened when it is opened initially or a setting to say use an empty .doc at the start?
~=)Otherwise you have something telling word to refer to that file. And it will not stop until it finds that file- it will not be stopped until it executes its orders, sort of a word processing 'Terminator', without the cyborgs and time travel of course.

That's it, move the bugger back to the ezphoto directory - as you might later wish to use it.
