Problem with Word 7.0.
It shuts down the program after about 30 seconds AND the shortcuts no longer work.
We've reinstalled a couple times already with no success.
I've run into this also at work where we run NT 4.0 - Office 97 - McAfee ViruScan - and supposedly the fix is to update the superDAT. BUT, we're running Norton 2002 on a W98 machine, so I don't know if the superDAT is the fix - ANY BODY OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP?

SuperDAT is the update for McAfee, not Office, or Word.

OOPS - My mistake.
I noticed too late that I typed Word 7.0, instead of WORKS 7.0.

I figured the superDAT fix to be McAfee.
But that makes it more confusing since the problem seems to be with Works and not AV software????

*** REMEMBER - THIS REFERS TO WORKS 7.0 NOT WORD AS STATED IN THE SUBJECT TITLE ****

After further research and a lot of e-mails back and forth with others, I've figured out what I concider a "partial" fix.
Believe it or not, I had to update my PRINTER driver! Now the program still gets the error message, but when I choose not to send to Microsoft, I can continue to work on and save files. Where as before, WORKS would shut down and I would lose my work.
I've received suggestions to update my video driver also, but haven't gotten around to that yet.
