Comment:

I recently installed some msn win98 updates/patches. Now when I boot up I get an error message once the desktop screen appears. It says:

"WJView Error: Could not execute Main. The system cannot find the file specified."

I uninstalled some of the updates but it still occurs and am not sure how to unistall the rest since they are not listed in Add/Remove software window. Help resolving would be appreciated.

WJView is a microsoft utility that allows a Java application normally executable in windows to run in the DOS shell (DOS command window).

My suspicion is you uninstalled something incompletely or you deleted a file it uses.

I suppose you could try a scanreg /fix and see if that will remove any references to it in the Startup.ini file.

Good Luck.
