I take it you currently have no wireless equipment? You'd need a wireless router plus a wireless adapter. The adapter can be either USB or a PCI card. These can always be reused on a different system so it wouldn't be a complete loss if you can't get it to work. And I don't think you'll get the wireless to work with Win95. You'd have to upgrade the OS to at least Win98SE.

I already have home wireless network. wanted to add old pionex desktop if I could. If I went to windows 98 ( or is it windows 98se), can I set up without adding to network?

Not sure what you mean? You'd have to upgrade to Win98SE, install a wireless card or USB adapter that's Win98SE compatible, install the drivers, then enter the network info -- SSID & assuming the signal is encrypted, the passphrase.

sorry about vague info. I meant use pionex as is, (win 95, 2 gig hd, fast access dsl) separately from my network. I would need another fast access modem? this is the reason I want to add the pionex on my network to avoid getting another modem but it appears getting another modem may be cheaper.

You can't run two DSL modems unless you have two separate phone lines, each with it's own number & DSL subscription. Does your Win95 system have a network card? Does your modem have several ethernet ports? Just hard wire the connection. It's highly unlikely you'll find any wireless hardware that supports Win95.
