A friend of mine brought her computer in to have what she thought was a virus removed. The tech said it was a spyware problem and removed the spyware as well as Spybot. When she got her computer back, her wireless ethernet connection was no longer working. I took a look at it and fixed a few other problems as well as reenabled her wireless card configuration utility (the tech disabled all startup items.) Her card is picking up the access point; it says it is connected and the link/signal is good, etc. Despite that, the computer will not connect to the internet. I tried a wired ethernet connection, and this worked without a problem. I also uninstalled and reinstalled her wireless card, but it didn't help. I'm stumped; does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help!
