is there any way to get a driver for my targa usb wireless adapter for win 98 ive tried targa with no success. where can i get a targa or generic driver for it?

What adapter is it? A model number may help. But, if they Pinnacle doesn't provide drivers for 98, then you're probably out of luck.

Also is this 98 or 98SE as some companies do provide drivers, but only for 98SE (like my disk on key Disgo easy disk usb pen).

You want to use a usb wireless network adaptor on 98FE? Both USB and wireless networking were parts of the SE upgrade.
Start hunting for a SE upgrade disk. It will save you a lot of headaches.

Ditch 98FE. Upgrade to 98SE cuse it is better for wireless networking and usb support. Windows 98FE was like a mess up. The proper version was 98SE

Ahh sorry I didn't notice it said 98FE :P, yeah my advice either download the only service pack ever officaly released by microsoft and update the system or get a copy or 98se and upgrade your system.
