I don't see that file on my pc so I'd say you got a bad download. Try the download again or get it from a different site.
Which card are you upgrading?

That should have been in the zip file.

R-ONE I am upgrading an xpert2000-graphic card .I have tried the download again with the same results from driverguide.com.Also tried the download of the same version from the ATI site itself with terrible results-hosed my machine. It had a host of other errors , blank screen, adapter misload,ect..
If you know of other sites it would be appreciated .
thank you for your response

If your graphics ran okay before, leave it alone. Some of those ATI upgrades/updates will do just what you experienced and make a mess.

I agree with Original Bruce. I have an ATI XPERT @ Play 98 card and it was running fine as set up with the CD that came with it. I heard that going to the ATI site I could get more up to date drivers etc. I downloaded the latest drivers, installed them, and had hiccups all over the place. I uninstalled the drivers and reloaded the original CD drivers and all is well.

in answer to your question...sounds like you might have tried to execute the file without extracting ALL the contents to one folder. I've done that before and usually get a missing component error message...HTH

I appreciate all the responses , but it looks like I will have to head to a store for a replacement . My main problem is having to re-build -(fdisk)- the system after a virus attack-blew through my virus software like it wasn't there*since replaced). This is only compounded by the fact that I can't locate the original disk(s) for the card. So I opted for a download from web sites . This has been sucessful for all my drivers except for this ati card .For everyones information I would like to pass along the following .
The ATI driver in the driver information board site at driverguide.com named "atiexpert200.zip" - is missing the _setup.dll and will not load or install.
All attempts at downloads from the ATI site itself uses self extracting files ,but when an "suregcreatekey failed" error occurs it does not stop execution and populates your windows system,system32, and ini files , but is not complete. This of course leads to blank screen and a page default error(which you can't see until you unplug the board force a restart -then replug the board -re-start so you can F8 and start in dos or safe mode to reconfigure the card to simple vga .
I appreciate everyone help and quick response, but it seems that this is one that only cash can fix.

See if ATI's site has an archive section with the original drivers that came with the card. Call ATI, they might send a disc if you prove you have the card.

Also, change WinZip to 'Classic' interface and don't use the wizard.
Then make a folder on your desktop just for extracting files to.
Most .exe downloads can be extracted or opened up before installing.
Right click on the download and choose "Extract to", choosing the folder the download is in and WinZip will add a folder inside that one with the contents of the .exe all laid out for you to check out.
Saves a lot of problems that way.

Go back to ATI's site and go to the driver section for your card. Select your operating system, then select 'previous' drivers and you can find the original drivers. The oldest one should be what came with the card.
