WinXP and Suse are not really covered in the win9x forum.
Are you looking to add windows or replace Suse with it?

Sounds like a backward upgrade to me!
First you will have to remove the linux partitions. I'm guessing this is where you are stuck. The only way I know of to do this is to begin a new linux install. When you get to the partition setup, delete all partitions and back out of there ignoring the installer's pleas.
Now that you have a clean hard drive, installing XP is childs play.

I'm a little confused of what you stated about Installing a new linux.Wouldn't it be the first step of erasing it by using a utility program such as killdisk and then proceed to partition and install a clean installation Win Xp?

Your right, killdisk does seem to be able to handle ext2 file systems. I'll have to remember that for next time I'm asked!
Have you just answered your own question? Or is there something else?

After you use Killdisk, just boot the WinXP CD. It will partition and format the drive.

Hi
The norm would be a linux install shared with some other distro on the same drive. In which case as Rimfire mentions, use the initial linux install to bring up a straight forward partition GUI.
If all you have on the drive is suse, yep go right ahead and delete everything.

I have one possible problem that worries me a bit before I attempt this. I've noticed my linux cd-rom does not auto-run and not sure what I need to do before anything else. Also someone down the line suggested I can just boot from the Xp cd and it would run through the partition process. All this is fine and dandy but my cd drive is a little tad aggravating.

Have you put your CD as first boot device in BIOS?
