winword.exe missing

Help! I think I accidentally deleted a program that caused Word to be deleted. When I try to open a document I'm told that Windows can't find winword.exe. And since we are borrowing the computer from the high school we don't have the original CD.
Please help!
p.s. is there any other word processing program we can download, besides Word?

When you say deleted do you mean Uninstalled? If you deleted the file windword.exe then maybe someone can send it to you. We would need to know the program version.
The only programs that, if Uninstalled, would loose winword.exe are MS Works or MS Office.
I have winword.exe for Office/Works 2000 if that will help. You might find one on the internet if you put the file name in Google.
