when I run some programs I get the following message:
Component "winsock.ocx" not correctly registerd. file is missing or invalid.
I tried to find the file but oculdno't.
Please advice.

Try downloading the new versions of windows sockets...
you will find these files on sites with instructions on how to make your computer immune to denial of service attacks

you might be able to fight it at ICQ progz sites or hacking filez sites(out of the ordinary but it's a source). I've been told that that file should be put in C:\Windows\System If you find a good place to get that file please e-mail me. thanx

you need "regsvr32.exe", prolly in \windows\system\

you need to run, c:\windows\regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system\winsck.ocx

ALL winsck.ocx files that i've found
were bad - they can't be registred with
regsvr32.exe!!!

I would like to make a program to work as a server and to have several TCP/IP connections working with sockets.
I'm trying but I can't get it.

Hi

To all of you having problems registering winsck.ocx I suggest that you download & install the Microsoft ActiveX Control Pack - a small 6.3 MB download.

It can be found at e.g.

http://www.cyber4all.com/crack/libraries.asp

If you btw are wondering I had the same problem, which lead me to this page. I found the solution 10 mins later by running some questions through hotbot, yahoo & altavista.

The guy up there had a good suggestion. Download the ActiveX pack .. it includes winsck and auto-installs it.
