Winpopup runs from one 27k file - c:\windows\WINPOPUP.exe.

Why not copy the file off a win9x machine and put it on the NT machine, run it and see what happens. Can't do any harm!

winpopup doesNOT run on NT. if you have your "messenger service" enables (default) it will receive popups. to send a message from an NT machine you must go to the command promt and type " net send computername "message here" "

If there's any other way than messager service to sent messages? I also try winpopup and it doesn't work too.
For messenger, you always have to be connected, not winpopup, this is great but doesn't work with NT!
Thanks

Net Hail is something you can download for NT.
You will not need to know much and it runs similar to Winpopup in 95. (messenger service still needs to run, but NET HAIL does it).

Is it possible to enable the "Net Send" in graphics mode? Why Winpopup is not enabled on WinNT?

Is there a way I can turn off Winpopup?
I am learning the ropes of bein a NA in my morning classroom, and the teacher has asked that I disable this because everyone is using that instead of working.
Any ideas?
