Two replies (counting this!)...

Is ANYONE out there?

William, several of my programs will no longer start because, sez my disgusting, incomprehensible, pale imitation of a real PC (meaning Amiga).
It alleges I have exported my WININET.DLL file along with a "missing export" SHLWAPI.DLL:StrNCatA.

Now I strongly deny ever having sent such a file to Siberia, accompanied or not by Wininet.dll

Nonetheless, I too am seeking a replacement for the same file as you were seeking.

Did you ever manage to secure a copy?

If so, can you tell me where you found it or send me a copy if it is legal?

Everything on my system is legal, but I don't know which of my hundreds of programs or applications the file might be hiding in. It could even be in a zip file - and I can't reload everything.

It's a bit depressing, the Web, yes? You appeal in January and all you find six months later is two other lost souls in the techno-desert.

Hope you found it somewhere!

Regards,

John Lacy

I too have had trouble with my "WININET.DLL file linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:UrlCombineW" whatever that means. I did however find a site of all dll files to download, including wininet.dll and shlwapi.dll. Here's the url: http://solo.abac.com/dllarchive/W.html
Hope these files will solve some problems!

I believe that file is included with micrsoft ie 5. Just try checking one of the dozens of free AOL cd's you've got laying around.
