Comment:

When my computer boots up, I am getting the following error:

"Winhdd has performed an illegal operation and is going to be shut down"

This error repeats itself several times. I can click OK & the computer seems to be booting normally.

What is causing this & how can I fix it?

Try uninstalling/reinstalling Winhdd (whatever that is).

This file causes a General Protection fault 4 or 5 times when the computer is booting up. It is nowhere to be found on the hard drive, there is no mention of it in any of the system files & it is not in the registry anywhere. What is it & how do I fix it?
