Half sleeping and trying to remove a virus....not a good mix.
I've just deleted the WIN.exe / RUNDLL.exe files from my computer and windows will not load reporting that win.com is missing.
I can't find any rescue discs due to moving house soon.
So can anyone help restore my pc without losing any info?

There shouldn't be a win.exe file. I just sent you win.com and rundll.exe.
They're zipped so extract them with something like winzip. Extract them to a blank floppy disk. Then start up the problem computer. Before the OS starts to load, start tapping the F8 key. A menu should come up. Choose 'command prompt only'. At the c:\> prompt put the disk with the extracted files in the a: drive and type:
copy a:\*.* c:\windows
and enter. When they're copied take the disk out and see if it'll boot normally.

There's a ritual for win.com (on W98SE CD as Win.cnf and you rename it to .com)
To save a lot of chatter, I'll email both W98SE files:
Win.com Rundll.exe
They go in c:\windows
