Any one knows what following message means: "The Ole32.dll file is linked to missing export RPCRT4.DLL:l_RpcAsyncSendReceive". This error appears after I reinstalled latest windows95 version. I can still install device file but can't install application file. It happend just after windows95 finished setup and begin to install internet explore 4.0. Anyone has such experince please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Only one thing to do. Re format the hard disk and reinstall windows. You could hack about in regedit but that will only take too long and could wreck Windows even more. Try and get you hands on a spare disk or tape unit to backup your data. Good luck

look in your C:\Windows\System folder and see if you have the rpcrt4.dll file in there. If you don't, search your cab files on either your Windows 95 disk or the IE4.01 cab files for it and drag a copy of it to the System folder. If you have Powertoys installed on your system, use the CabView to do that search. If you can't find it on your cab search, try going to www.soloabac.com/dllarchive and see if you can get it there.
According to my experiences, I have to uninstall or use Add and Remove to get rid of IE4 first and then Reinstall Win95. I did not have to get rid of IE4 first on Win 98 Reinstallation. I have a Win 98 OEM full version.

Thanks to everybody. I have tried every method everybody suggested and I am still get the same result. There must be something missing or some device file should be installed first because I always get same message as I posted. Win setup program indicate some device not responding even though I reformated whole hard disk. My computer is pentium II 266 MHz. This is really frustrating and I need read more information with oem32 stuff before I can go on. Thanks again to everybody.

I have the same problem..but not with a reinstall! I ran "Nut's & Bolts" error scan..deleted a couple of files that it said I did not need..and now there are certain programs I try to run, but I get the above error message! I've reinstalled Windows, and the above mentioned programs, but still have the problem! I've even found the above mentioned file in my "C:Windows:Systems" folder..so it's not missing! I know this is no help..but maybe it'll send some of your helpers in a different direction! But..if anybody can help me with my problem..please contact me by email! Thanks!

I am also having problems all of a sudden with Windows95 => the blue screen comes up with "Fatal exception at adress 0E....". Somtimes it says there is an error with my XMS memory. I have been advised to re-install Windows (got the disk), but it has not been straight forward, as I can't get into windows; but can get into dos. How do I re-install? thanx, term

Have-you updated your system? I met this problem after download the pack update of Win95 version 1212. If you reload an old version 1111 the files are not compatible. you must reload the old version of RPCRT4.DLL.
