Its me again lol. Not haveing any problems at the moment but I thought Id ask a curious question.
Is win2k better then win98 SE? or vice versa and why? The reason I ask is because I feel like it would be a good idea to upgrade. I didnt like XP too much but I heard win2k has the same system core in a sence as winxp. So what do you think?

There is a bit of a learning curve with Win2000. If you use NTFS then the biggest advantage is more effiecient disk useage and a more reliable file system. Some older 16 bit programs may not run under Win2000. Drivers may not be available for all your hardware. Check that before migrating. On other thing, FAT32 is slightly faster. I use a dual boot 98/2000 on my main rig because I have a sheet fed scanner that won't run under 2000 and I don't want to give it up. I find myself using 98 more than 2000. I hate XP.

It depends on what you use the computer for. Win2K has tighter security. (Actually any security is more than Win98 has.) Your 128-MB Ram is about the minimum that you would want with Win2K, while it's more than adequate for Win98. Older games will probably run better on Win98. Newer games may not run at all on
Win98. Win2K & Office 2K is a pretty heavy load with 128-MB RAM...Win98 & Office 2K is fine. Newer USB (2.0) cameras & scanners may require at least Win98SE.It's like asking whether a pickup truck or a cargo van is better...it all depends on what you want to use it for.
