I currently have windows version Windows 95 B (OSR2) (build 4.0.1111). But I guess I need OEM Service Release 2.1, 4.03.1212-1214 (4.00.950B).
Is it possible to update my version to this version by downloading it online?
If not, my goal is to use my computer for USB. But I need that new version. or do I?

As far as I am aware there are 4 versions of W95
W95 plus Service Pack 1 W95 OEM Service Release 1 (OSR1)4.00.950A W95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2)4.00.950B W95 OEM Service Release 2.5 (OSR2)4.00.950C
I believe OSR2.5 came with IE4 with active desktop, whereas OSR2 had IE3, apart from that better USB support in OSR2.5 is the other difference.
Microsoft support still have lots of info available..............

I think your version should have USB support. If you want better support use Windows 98se,I don't think 95c will be much better than what you have now.
If it's not on your CD, the USB support patch can be found here

I agree with Jim. Quite fooling around trying to get Win 95 to run USB and round up a copy of Win98 Second Edition. I believe Microsift has quit officially supporting Win95
