Windows updates!

Most of our computers accept Windows updates, but there are a few that come up with "Thanks for your interest in Windows update", then lists reason why you may not be able to download the updates for your computer. I went through all the possible reasons and reset what needed to be. Still not able to access window updates! Any ideas!

Are you running behind a firewall or have an anti-virus program running? If so, you may need to disable them tempoarily to get the Windows Updates. That's what I have to do.

Go to this link and click on Product Updates:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
It will automatically check your computer and inform you of what updates are available or needed.

Not for Win 98 it doesn't! And not for Netscape or Opera users.

The updates page can also be chosen from the MSN Explorer browser not just the Start settings button or IE explorer. Dane is correct anything prior to IE4, older versions of Netscape 4.0, Opera3.0 did not have security capabilities for 128 encryption and cannot be updated.
