Hi I have win98SE and run IE 505 on a Pentium 233MMX with 64MB ram I have always collected my updates from the windows update site but now after getting on to the site the windows update refers me to an error screen "cannot display page". This page gives you a fix "KB article" which is emptying the windows update folder which I have followed and done. I have also reinstalled the critical components installer. My security settings are set at medium still no luck I have re booted and tried again still no luck has any any clues would be grateful.
Thanks Kaz

I had the same problem a while back, and the soloution was to repair internet explorer. if you do not know how to do this, go to start/settings/control panel/add and removes and highlight internet explorer and click remove and a box will come up and select repair internet explorer.
