Windows Update... how do you get it back? he he he ... too many files to restart the comp, and dont' know how to re-enable it...

You can re-enable the auto notification for Windows updates by running msconfig (start/run) and click on the start-up tab. There is a box you can check to enable the auto notification. You could also check in the folder Windows Update Setup Files (usually in the root directory) and you should find some executables and plenty of .cab files. in explorer click tools at the top and the 3rd one down is windows update
