Windows stuck in Safe Mode.

My Vaio won't start up unless it's in Safe Mode, can anyone help me? I've done all the standardd F8 Menu junk, but it's not getting me anywhere. I can't get it to start up in Standard Mode at all. What else can I do?

In safe mode, run msconfig and click the 'startup' tab. Uncheck everything except the 2 'LoadPowerProfiles' and ScanRegistry. Save and reboot.
Did this just start happening? What happened between the time it worked OK and the first time it didn't?

It was working just fine up until about two days ago when it all of a sudden switched color resolution and screen area. The color reset itself to 16 colors and the scren area set to 680x480 or whatever it is, I can remember. But anyway, no matter how often I'd change and save those options it was still large and miscolored. A day sooner, it ended up not being able to open out of Safe Mode.
It opens to a Command Prompt that reads "FIX_PNP" then something about "Logic Inc."
